Oxygen enhanced MR imaging, quantitative CT and lung function tests were performed on nine patients before and after endobronchial valve deployment for non-surgical lung reduction to relieve dyspnoea. Our results showed a difference in all parameters before and after valve deployment, and that serial changes in MR oxygen-enhancement correlated well with changes in FVC and DLCO. On the other hand, serial changes in FEV1 correlated best with serial changes in coronal CT density (expiratory inspiratory).
