Arbitrary Fields of View in Radial Imaging

We have developed a method to support arbitrary fields of view (FOVs) in radial imaging techniques, such as 2D and 3D projection reconstruction (PR) as well as 3D cones. Non-circular FOVs, such as ellipses and rectangles, allow for scan time reductions without inducing artifacts. When applied to undersampled dynamic imaging, the unaliased region of support for motion need not be circular. The method is based on non-uniform angular sampling density, and also supports anisotropic resolutions.
