To allow rapid prototyping of stents, a simulation strategy has been implemented which allows evaluation of MR compatability of different stent designs. It includes a calculation of electromagnetic fields around the stent material used as input to the simulation of MRI by means of a novel approach which efficiently calculates intra-voxel dephasing.
