The reproducibility of 1H-MR spectroscopic imaging at the centrum semi-ovale over a time span of 4 weeks was investigated in clinically stable MS patients. NAA/Cr ratios were reproducible with a coefficient of variation of 5.3 and 3.9% in gray and white matter, respectively. This indicates that 1H MR spectroscopic imaging can potentially be used as a surrogate marker in MS.
