The goal of this work was to identify global and local shape differences of the brain ventricles of patients with Alzheimers disease (AD) compared to age-matched healthy elderly. Using a fully automatic shape modeling technique, we captured the ventricles shape and shape variations of 29 AD subjects and 25 controls matched for age. By applying permutation tests on every single node of a mesh representation of the shapes, we identified the local areas with most significant differences.
