3D MR microscopic images of chemically fixed human embryos were acquired with a large matrix size (256&[mult]256&[mult]512) using a 9.4 T superconducting magnet and a parallel receiver system. The developmental process of human embryos, such as vascular structures in the liver, was clearly visualized through T1 or T2* image contrasts.
