MRCP is a critical component of hepatobiliary imaging. However, it is insufficient by itself. A robust, fast multiphase dynamic contrast enhanced sequence is needed to detect and characterize lesions and metastases. We investigated the use of a novel fat suppressed DCEMRI time resolved sequence with ultra high spatio-temporal resolution in hepatobiliary and pancreatic imaging practice, as a useful adjunct to MRCP. Excellent visualization of the arterial and late phases was observed as well as complete correlation with histopathological data.
