Diffusion-weighted MR imaging were performed in 26 patients with advanced gastric cancer, of which 24 cases obtained acceptable images. Four b values (0, 300, 600 and 1000s/mm2) were employed to generate DW images. There was statistical difference of ADCs with different b value sequences. The larger the b values, the lower the ADCs. The SNR of tumors reduced as b values went higher. High-b-value images have better contrast and produce more accurate ADCs, and low-b-value images can be an alternate when the SNR is too low to identify tumor signals.
