Variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) is a rare but important cause of dementia and death in young patients. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a new treatment based on the intra cerebro-ventricular infusion of Pentosan polysulfate (PSP) by following the patients with biological (research of protein 14-3-3 and tau protein in CSF), electrophysiological, clinical and MRI examinations. We report the preliminary MRI findings with DWI and localized short echo MRS obtained from six patients with different CJD forms (1 variant, 1 sporadic, 2 genetic and 2 iatrogen) at the first point of the protocol (before treatment).
