The goal of this work was to determine the effect of water-fat shift (WFS) differences on the co-registration of MRI scans. The images of two sequences (T2 and FLAIR) with several WFS parameters have been co-registered first manually and then automatically. The results show that automatic co-registration can lead to errors when the images have different WFS settings.
