We present our findings of using a phase contrast imaging technique to detect brain tissues motion induced by blood and CSF pulsation. We present methods to enable the calculation of elasticity from this motion, which allows elastography with no external driving device. We demonstrate that our measurements are compatible with previous measurements of shear modulus in the brain.
