The
possibility of B1 shimming with a standard 2 channel headcoil at 7T is
investigated. Both simulations and in vivo results are presented. The results
show that whole brain uniformity in B1+ is not possible with two channels.
However, considerable improvements can be made as illustrated by a 3D
magnetization prepared FLAIR acquisition.
