In this investigation we have evaluated the precision of the volumetric measurement attainable by some recently available FDA approved commercial software. The results have shown significant variation that would need to be taken into account if this methodology is widely used in clinical diagnosis and longer monitoring of patients with dementia, such as Alzheimers disease.
