Recent developments in MR hard- and software made it possible to perform whole body MRI at the same high image quality as it is known from organ based MR exams. The next step to perform state of the art cardiovascular whole body imaging is to implement it to high field strength like 3 Tesla. The combination of matrix-coil systems, parallel imaging and 3 Tesla offer the possibility to image the entire cardiovascular system within reasonable time at high image quality.
