A surface integral-equation-based approach is developed for simulating the SNR of high-field RF coils. This method formulates the equations on the surfaces of RF coils and the phantom. As a result, very high modeling accuracy and computational efficiency can be achieved. Numerical results of an eight-channel coil array for brain imaging at 7.0 Tesla further demonstrate the validity, accuracy and efficiency of this approach.
