we found a gradient of white matter abnormality in spinal cord extending from the plaques visible on T2-weighted imaging to the outside of the plaques in FA values. Diffusion tensor MR imaging may be more sensitive than T2-weighted imaging for assessing disease burden and monitoring effects for therapy.
