             Using laser frequency narrowing techniques to improve production of hyperpolarized Xe for imaging and surface analysis.

             We produce hyperpolarized xenon for NMR/MRI by spin exchange optical pumping (SEOP), using a 30W LDA. SEOP efficiency is improved by frequency narrowing the LDA, doubling the spin polarization and thus doubling the NMR signal strength.
