Structural MRI is a promising technique to diagnose and track the progression of Alzheimer's Disease. Quantitative structural studies require precise control of geometric distortion, both longitudinally and between scanners. We have developed a phantom-based method for evaluating and correcting distortion due to gradient nonlinearity for use in quantitative MRI studies.
