The purpose of these experiments was to evaluate stiffness change after MRgFUS in a nude mouse model with human liver cancer xenoplant (Hep3B cells). Our data confirm that tissue stiffness determined using MRE elastography correlates with cellular level thermal damage or necrosis in liver cancer tissue. Further in vivo experiments are suggested on finding correlation of stifness change on FUS power level and determining stiffness of baseline necrosis in future work
