Idiopathic inflammatory myositis: Analysis of Magnetic Resonance Imaging using IDL to enhance diagnosis

MR of Myositis is less reliable than we expected. However by using image analysis based on the T1 weighted and STIR axial images it is possible to greatly improve the ability to use MR images to make the diagnosis of Myositis. The IDL based program has shown itself to be more reliable than any other technique for establishing the diagnosis of myositis.
