Phase contrast measurements with combined partial Fourier acquisition and parallel imaging technique were done at 1.5 Tesla. Cardiac output was measured in normal volunteers and patients with and without partial fourier acquisition and parallel imaging. Precision, accuracy and signal to noise ratios were also measured in vitro. A tendency to overestimate flow volumes by 5% was seen while time of acquisition was reduced by a mean of 64%.
