Using a mode concept to reduce hardware needs for multichannel transmit array

A concept for a multichannel transmit array is presented which uses spatial Fourier modes instead of single antenna elements. Obvious advantages are reduced hardware needs, intrinsic matching of the antenna to the RF amplifiers and decoulping of the modes. The concept can be used for B1-shim and TX-Sense.
