Receiver arrays that are adaptable to diverse measurement situations are extremely valuable in the research environment. We have constructed interface boxes that allow up to 16 independent coil elements to be connected and arranged as needed. Our modular approach reuses designs and hardware in order to focus on the problems specific to the particular measurement. The standard interface box accepts coils of various shapes and sizes which are constructed as separate units and can be used in any combination without electrical adjustments because the elements are preamplifier-decoupled.
