Myocardial Blood Flow Can Be Quantified in Sub-gram Regions of Interest in Clinical MR First Pass Perfusion Studies

The minimal region of interest in first pass MR perfusion for myocardial blood flow quantification was studied in normal subjects. The optimal size spatial filter for homogeneous flow estimation was determined and applied to quantify rest and stress perfusion and to demonstrate perfusion defects in ischemic patients.
