Decoupling of multi-element coil is becoming increasingly important due to the parallel transmitting application. Capacitive decoupling is easy to implement and capacitors with high Q-value are easy available. Because conventional capacitive decoupling requires direct connection between coil elements, the size of the connected coil element should be kept as small as possible compared to the wavelength. In this abstract we demonstrate a novel method to decouple up to 9 coil elements by combining capacitive and geometrical decoupling concept. The decoupling network presented here doesnt change the signal profile of each individual element which could be an advantage for the parallel transmitting applications.
