Characterization
of pathologic lung tissue necessitates a robust method for diagnosis. T1
relaxation times provide information about oxygen transfer in the lung. To
demonstrate the robustness of the IR Snapshot FLASH sequence we repeatedly
quantified T1 at different sites using a lung phantom made of several Gd-DTPA
doped bottles. The results show an excellent reproducibility of the
relaxation times.
