The
assessment of liver iron overload by means of magnetic resonance imaging is
usually based on the quantification of T2* values. It was the purpose of this
study to investigate if a combination of T2* values and T1 values, obtained
with a fast T1 mapping technique, could be beneficial for diagnosis.
