  receiver loop coils offer high SNR gain and are therefore common practice in
  MRI and MRS. In this work it was tried to optimize the conductor geometry and
  size of such loop coils comparing a series of conical coils with varying
  shell angles, diameters and placements. Furthermore the dependence of these
  parameters on the dielectric properties of the sample has been studied, which
  turned out to have a major impact at these frequencies.
