BOLD
MRI is a potential non-invasive method for assessing tissue oxygenation in a
wide range of tissues. This work
develops a method for oxygen challenge based BOLD imaging of the liver at 3T
in a group of volunteers and demonstrates that acceptable results and low variability
can be achieved using both breath-hold and respiratory triggered multi-echo
gradient echo acquisitions.
