Fast Image Reconstruction in the
Presence of Dynamic Higher-Order Fields

MRI in the presence of higher-order fields poses a
complex reconstruction problem. An accelerated algebraic reconstruction
approach is proposed by expanding the higher-order field terms into a
weighted sum of optimized basis functions. Thereby image reconstruction can
be performed by utilizing the computational efficiency of Fast Fourier
Transforms.Acceleration by orders of
magnitude is achieved with a minimal loss in computational accuracy.
