A New Phase-Based Method for Rapid 3D B1 Mapping using Double RF Pulses

A fast, easy-to-implement, phase-based 3D B1 mapping method is presented. This method uses a pair of orthogonal RF pulses to generate a flip-angle-dependent phase deviation of the magnetization vector from π/4. It is robust to T1 and T2 relaxations and the B0 field inhomogeneity.
