A method is described to measure the receiver sensitivity
of a circularly polarized transmit and receive RF coil by mapping the
transmit RF field strength on a reverse-oriented subject. A phase-based RF
field mapping method allows robust RF mapping unaffected by tissue T1 or
image contrast. The method is verified on a multi-slice abdominal scan of a
volunteer at 3 T.
