A striking
manifestation of the voxel-bleeding effect in MRSI in vivo is
subcranial fat signal falsely appearing in a voxel in the center of the
brain. We developed a localized filtering technique for the suppression of
fat artefacts. Unlike k-space apodization techniques, we achieve artifact suppression
without incurring fat signal spread at the edge of the object.
