Todays MR
imaging methods use low-order SH shapes or combinations thereof. Here we show
that MR imaging does not rely on SH shapes and can also be achieved with
random magnetic field shapes when analyzed by algebraic reconstruction.
Magnetic fields for spatial encoding were generated with the multi-coil (MC)
approach by a matrix of simple, circular coils.
