This study investigated the possible relationship between ventricular volume and diffusion parameters of the corpus callosum in patients suffering Alzheimer Disease with diffusion tensor imaging. Fractionnal anisotropy and apparent diffusion coefficient in the genu, body and splenium and lateral ventricles were measured and correlation coefficients were computed. This study showed that white matter disorders observed in Alzheimer patients corpus callosum was more related to Alzheimer disease physiopathology rather than ventricular dilatation.
