<I>B1+</I> distributions in the brain are predicted by matching head shapes as determined from survey scans to those in a database consisting of pre-existing <I>B1+</I> maps and associated survey scans. Results are evaluated through comparison with actual maps as well as through the performance of RF pulses designed from both actual and predicted maps.
