This study presents a strategy to more accurately quantify the sparse 19 F signal from lower case Greek alpha lower case Greek nu lower case Greek beta 3 integrin targeted perfluorocarbon nanoparticle emulsions with a 1 H image-based actual flip angle B 1 -mapping correction to the 19 F and 1 H images, acquired with a simultaneous dual-frequency ultra-short echo time balanced steady state free precession sequence, in a phantom and an in vivo setting using a VX2 tumor model implanted into rabbits.
