Synopsis

Keywords: Muscle, CEST & MTMagnetization transfer ratio (MTR) and volume of thigh muscles were investigated as imaging biomarkers in Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A (CMT1A) and hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure palsy (HNPP) patients. MTR was significantly different between HNPP and healthy control subjects; muscle volume was significantly different between CMT1A patients and healthy control subjects and HNPP patients. MTR and volume were found to be repeatable and reliable.
