Keywords: Brain Connectivity, fMRI (task based), Laminar FMRIWe present results which demonstrate simultaneous bottom-up and top-down connectivity from BA44 to regions hierarchically inferior/superior to it in the context of a reading paradigm. BA44 is critical to a number of cognitive functions in humans, notably language. We also demonstrate that the layer dependent signal is sensitive to stimulus length. This effect is contrary to what would be expected in primary sensory cortices, as increased length relates to decreased input. Hence, we also provide insight to how canonical cortico-cortical circuits can lead to different outcomes depending on the nature of the input and the stage of the processing hierarchy.
How to access this content:
For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
