Synopsis

Keywords: Diffusion/other diffusion imaging techniques, Diffusion/other diffusion imaging techniquesMultiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurodegenerative and inflammatory disease characterized by focal lesions and damages to normal appearing white matter (NAWM). Diffusion MRI (dMRI) is known for its sensitivity to the microstructural changes in white matter. In this work, we study the sensitivity of dMRI metrics to MS pathology in NAWM by distinguishing MS patients from healthy controls. We found that beyond-spherical-mean rotational invariants of high-b shells contribute mostly to the classification, indicating nontrivial information content of high-b diffusion signal beyond DTI.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
