Synopsis

Keywords: Cardiomyopathy, HeartTrabecular complexity of left and right ventricles can be quantified as fractal dimension (FD), a number between 1 to 2, by fractal analysis on short axis cine images of cardiovascular magnetic resonance. We found that biventricular FDs provide significant prognostic value for sudden cardiac death and composited adverse events including rehospitalization due to heart failure in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). LV maximal apical FD and RV global FD are independent prognostic factors in HCM. In addition, they provide incremental prognostic value to the conventional predictors including European Society of Cardiology predictors and late gadolinium enhancement percentage.

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
