Synopsis

Keywords: Neurodegeneration, Brain Connectivity, functional MRI, independent component analysis, spinocerebellar ataxia type 3, large-scale brain networks, functional connectivityLarge-scale resting-state functional network connectivity changes in spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 patients were found in both inter- and intranetwork functional connectivity. Especially, the increased intranetwork functional connectivity within the lateral visual network may potentially be a compensatory mechanism of visual-related symptoms in SCA3.
