Keywords: Multiple Sclerosis, Multi-Contrast, paramagnetic rim lesionsChronic active lesions have been recently investigated in multiple sclerosis (MS) and associated with the detection of paramagnetic rims on susceptibility-based MRI images (filtered phase and quantitative susceptibility mapping). Quantitative MRI approaches have the potential to reveal the degree of tissue damage in paramagnetic rim lesions. In this study a significant increase in T2* relaxation time and Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) as well as a decrease in Magnetization Transfer Ratio (MTR) and Magnetization Transfer Saturation (MTSat) was revealed in PRL+ lesions compared to PRL-, thus supporting the use of these MRI metrics to detect tissue damage associated with chronic activity.
How to access this content:
For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
