Keywords: Safety, SafetyWe introduce a method to calculate lead-tip voltage for implanted devices by considering 1) the individualized lead path extracted from X-ray-based images, 2) the incident electric field per unit B1+rms derived for the RF transmitter and a digital human body model, 3) the complex RF wavenumber in an insulated conductor derived from antenna theory. T/R coil transmitters in whole-body at 1.5T and 3.0T were considered, as well as a head coil on a compact 3T. Based on leads in 10 subjects, the results show the compact 3T produces less lead tip voltage than whole-body T/R coils.
How to access this content:
For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.
After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.
After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
