Synopsis

Keywords: Shims, RF Arrays & Systems, flexible coil array, localized B0 shimming, integrated RF/shim coil array, iPRESSusceptibility-induced B0 inhomogeneities can cause artifacts that severely degrade the image quality in many applications. Integrated parallel reception, excitation, and shimming (iPRES) coil arrays can perform MRI and localized B0 shimming with a single coil array, but are so far rigid, which limits their SNR and shimming performance. Here, we develop a flexible iPRES coil array that can conform to the subject’s anatomy and substantially improve the SNR and reduce the B0 inhomogeneities and geometric distortions in diffusion-weighted imaging of the knee compared to a rigid iPRES coil array, which will be valuable for many anatomical regions and applications.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
