GIRF-based characterization of a novel cryogen-free HTS magnet

Synopsis

Keywords: System Imperfections: Measurement & Correction, Gradients, eddy currentsWe characterized our new 1.5 T HTS magnet via GIRF determination. Analysis of time scales showed that relevant first-order eddy currents exhibit time constant of less then 200 µs. This finding is a promising characterization of our system but requires further investigations.
