Synopsis

Keywords: Heart, Artifacts, cardiac B1+ mapping, transmit field imagingCardiac MRI at 3T offers gains in SNR, but is strongly affected by field inhomogeneities, including the transmit field B1+. Mapping |B1+| field around the heart is particularly challenging due to the presence of motion, and few techniques exist for robust imaging. Recently, Bloch-Siegert shift mapping was proposed for motion robust cardiac |B1+| mapping, however, it requires long echo times making it more susceptible to artifacts. Here, we introduce a new preparation module for efficient |B1+| mapping. The method shows 0.06% / 0.35% reduced noise variability in phantom and 0.61±0.35% / 0.89±0.63% in-vivo imaging, and visually improved map quality.

How to access this content:

For one year after publication, abstracts and videos are only open to registrants of this annual meeting. Registrants should use their existing login information. Non-registrant access can be purchased via the ISMRM E-Library.

After one year, current ISMRM & ISMRT members get free access to both the abstracts and videos. Non-members and non-registrants must purchase access via the ISMRM E-Library.

After two years, the meeting proceedings (abstracts) are opened to the public and require no login information. Videos remain behind password for access by members, registrants and E-Library customers.
