This study demonstrates the feasibility of tungsten microwire electrode for DBS fMRI, showing reduced susceptibility artifact, sufficient flexibility and robust BOLD fMRI responses in rats. Similar frequency dependency was found under isoflurane anesthesia and -chloralose sedation.
