A system for performing electrophysiology interventions under real-time MRI guidance has been developed, with the target of treating atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. Voltage maps have been acquired on five infarcted pigs under both MRI guidance and the clinical gold standard, CARTO (Biosense-Webster)and compared. Simultaneous RF ablation and MR Imaging has been performed with no degradation of image quality.
