Vulnerable Lesion correlates to accelerated recurrence of Cerebral Infarction: Carotid Magnetic Resonance Imaging Study

Carotid atherosclerosis may correlate ischemic cerebral disease. In this experiment,we enrolled 50patients haing two times of cerebral infarction and exmined their carotid bifurcation. We classified the lesion in carotid wall according to its signal and shape using criteria of AHA as an template. It demonstrated that patients with a MRI defined vulnerable plaque prone to had a shorter interval between the two cerebral infarctions.
